At an official yet informal handover ceremony the Vale of Belvoir Lions chain of office was handed over to the new incoming President Lion Nigel Davies by Immediate Past President Lion Richard Taylor. Nigel, who is Deputy Headmaster at Charles Read High School, Corby Glen was elected by the club’s membership for a term of office for 2009/2010 in a year when the club mark an historic milestone – 30 years in being since the club was founded (Charter) in 1979. His intentions remain the same with a determination, enthusiasm and vision to take the club forward from strength to strength. With the recruitment of a number of younger members the club remain ever more flexible and intend to move forward with the times without losing sight of traditions and ethos of Lionism - building on its own very high reputation and standing in the Community with an aim to help others.
