A Warm Lions welcome to you All

Picture

Welcome to the website of the Vale Of Belvoir Lions club.

Some of you will know our club very well whilst others may not.  We are members of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service organisation with over 1.4m members.  This year Lions Clubs International are able celebrate 100 years since its formation in 1917.  You will note the Centennial Logo below right and will also find it on other pages on this site.  Our club wanted to mark this huge milestone and in Oct 2016 planted 3000 crocus bulbs at the Jubilee Green, Bottesford.  You will see below a photograph of the display taken on 2nd March 2017 and, as well as the "L" to signify LIONS, the "100" represents the 100 years of this great organisation.

Here in the Vale in Belvoir against the magnificent backdrop of Belvoir Castle(pictured above), home to the Duke and Duchess of Rutland, we are often seen providing practical support to our local community.   We also organise many charitable events to help raise much needed funds for local, national and international causes. Our membership is representative of our Community - from differing backgrounds and with different skill-sets.  What is quite common is that we are Lions because we wish to contribute to making things better for those less fortunate than ourselves and also have some fun along the way.  Hopefully as you skip through our website pages you will get a better understanding of what we do best.  The Lions motto of "We Serve" is testament to the efforts of our club members as well as the many friends and family who help us whenever they can.

If you too wish to become involved in any of our projects or need any further information then please use the contacts page to leave details and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
