Royal Wedding Party Day
Venue: Lion Dermot's Back Garden on 29th April 2011

What else could one do on the Royal Wedding Day, but to have a party of one's own!! With thanks to Lion Dermot and his partner Anne, this was made possible in the form of a fully dressed up garden party.

The actual work commenced a long time before the wedding day with cake making, decoration sourcing and making, projector aquisition to screen the wedding outside, erection of a large marquee to seat everyone for a meal, and much more. The Lions partners all got actively involved in helping to organise things for the big day.

On the Friday morning of the Royal Wedding, the guests arrived dressed as though they were all goinig to the wedding itself, and all took seats in the marquee to watch the wedding screened outside. Fortunately for Kate and Wills, the sun was out, and the morning was pleasant, unfortunately for our party, the sun made watching the wedding outside near impossible! Everyone swiftly relocated indoors to see the wedding ceremony.

Now, every wedding has to have a wedding supper, and ours was no exception. In true British fashion, fish and chips were served to all 60 guests, and they were very welcomed indeed!

The afternoon took a more informal turn as guests changed into more 'casual' gear, and had a generally good time, chatting, laughing and having a few drinks!

A big thank you to Anne who headed up the party, and thanks to all those that helped to make the day a success. Finally a thank you to those that provided the excellent photography. Cheers!
